The auction for the second season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is scheduled to be held on December 9 in Mumbai. Earlier, the five franchises participating in the tournament had released the list of retained and released players. All the franchises had retained 60 players, which included 21 foreign players. The teams had given up on 29 players. Delhi Capitals had retained the maximum number of players. Gujarat Giants was the team that released the most players. Gujarat had released 11 players.
